Hey Everyone….

So I finally got to meet the woman who has inspired all of my art. Patti Smith was having a signing at Skylight Books this last Sat. celebrating the release of her new book “Just kids,”  which chronicles the adventures of her and her photographer friend Robert Mapplethorp in New York in the 70’s. It speaks of all of the people they met at the Chelsea Hotel, and the ins and outs, and ups and downs of the whacky world they were painting for us all. I was thrilled to meet her and stare eye to eye with the poet that made me certain of what it was I was going to do. Thanks Patti-
